My New Favorite Banana Pudding (with a Cheesecake Twist!)

Hey friends! 🍌✨

I have a serious weakness for banana pudding, and when I saw this upgraded version on Reddit I knew I had to try it. It uses sweetened condensed milk and cheesecake pudding mix for an extra creamy, dreamy texture, plus banana emulsion for that real banana flavor punch. It did not disappoint!

This is next-level comfort dessert. Rich, nostalgic, but with a little something special.

How I Made It

Mixing the base was super easy. I loved adding the banana emulsion it made the whole thing smell and taste like real bananas. Folding in just a portion of the whipped topping kept it from being too light. Layering it with Nilla wafers and fresh banana slices is always the fun part.

The hardest part was waiting for it to chill overnight, but it really is mandatory the wafers soften perfectly and all the flavors come together beautifully.

The Recipe (My Take)

Cheesecake Banana Pudding

Ingredients

  • 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk

  • 1.5 cups water

  • 3.4 oz box cheesecake pudding mix

  • ~½ tsp LorAnn banana emulsion (or more to taste)

  • Whipped topping (I used a little less than ⅓ of an 8 oz container)

  • Nilla wafers

  • Fresh banana slices

  • For topping: crumbled Nilla wafers, cinnamon, and caramel drizzle

Directions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and water until smooth.
  • Add the cheesecake pudding mix and banana emulsion. Mix well until thickened. Chill the mixture for at least 4 hours.
  • Gently fold in the whipped topping.
  • In a serving dish or individual cups, layer: Nilla wafers, banana slices, and pudding mixture. Repeat layers as desired.
  • Top with crumbled Nilla wafers, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a caramel drizzle.
  • Chill overnight (this step is key!) so the cookies soften and flavors meld.

This banana pudding is dangerously good. The cheesecake pudding gives it a richer, tangier vibe than the classic version, and the banana emulsion really makes it pop. It’s perfect for potlucks, family dinners, or whenever you need a crowd pleasing dessert.

Warning: It disappears fast. Make extra if you’re feeding a big group!
